  1. WELCOME TO THE PAGESTREAM 3.0b FREE UPDATE!

  4. There are 4 archive files for this update. The most you will need is three
  5. of them. Only one is required for the actual update, and there are
  6. separate versions of it depending on whether you are updating from 3.0 or
  7. 3.0a. The other two are optional depending on what you want to update.

  9. PS3B01.LHA - you need this file to upgrade from 3.0
  10. PS3BA1.LHA - you need this file to upgrade from 3.0a
  11. PS3B2.LHA  - includes additional DMF fonts (see below)
  12. PS3B3.LHA  - includes updated help files and macro definitions
  13.  
  14. All archives contain installation scripts to install their files. You MUST
  15. have PageStream 3.0 or 3.0a, as applicable, properly installed on your
  16. hard drive to use these installers, and you MUST have disk 1 of your
  17. original PageStream3 disk set available.

  19. NOTE: The installer in this archive will overwrite your current
  20. PageStream3.Macros file. If you have macros in it you wish to keep, make
  21. a backup copy of your file before using this installer. After installation,
  22. run PageStream3 and append your old Macros file to the new one. Remove
  23. redundant entries as required.

  25. DMF fonts: the 3.0 and 3.0a releases of PageStream included DMF font files
  26. for the standard 35 set, less Times and Helvetica (Triumvirate) which are
  27. included in Compugraphic format. Only one DMF file was included for each
  28. font family. The PS3B2.LHA archive contains the remaining DMF files so
  29. that you can print these fonts to all types of printers. So if you want to
  30. print bold or italic versions of these fonts, you need the DMF font files
  31. in the PS3B2.LHA archive.
